Dreamlike Speculations 2026

Electromagnetic, ambisonic, field recordings

We are challenged now more than ever to question what is real or fake; organic or simulation.

Dreamlike Speculations invites the listener to reflect on the relationship between nature and tech – encouraging their depolarisation by blurring the sonic lines between them.

What does a post-climate crisis world look and sound like, where nature and tech co-exist?

The title is taken from Peclers Paris’s study of the same name (subtitled ‘rethinking the relationship between nature and technology’), identifying trends and consumer behaviours in this area.

This work was created in response to the Potter Museum of Art exhibition A velvet ant, a flower and a bird.

This work is best listened to with headphones or reasonable quality stereo speakers.

I respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Eastern Kulin Nation, on whose unceded land I live and work; and pay my respects to Elders past and present.
